Meet Angela

Angela Averesch, a proud descendant of the Keinjin people of Queenslands Darling Downs, is an Artivist and the founder of Deadly Defiance.

I started Deadly Defiance as a way to showcase Artivism as a voice for social justice.  My work is designed to start conversations and challenge peoples perceptions.  My shirts have been worn across Australia, and my posters have found their way into peoples homes and businesses.  I am proud knowing that my designs can help others feel seen and empowered.

My ancestors guide me, refuel and fire me!
